For the fifth consecutive year, Prével is helping Moisson Montréal collect non-perishable food and monetary donations which are used for Christmas baskets for the needy.
The organization provides food aid to more than 138,000 Montrealers, including nearly 35,000 children, every month.
Highlights from 2015-2016:

254 accredited community organizations are served on a regular basis (and 55 on a case-by-case basis) on the Island of Montreal;

14.2 million kg of food and other essential products are distributed annually, representing a monetary value of $81.5 million (a 34% increase in one year);

Every week, kilos of meat are recovered through the supermarket food recovery program;

Moisson Montréal supplies from 304 food suppliers, including 113 supermarkets;

Last year, almost 8,900 volunteers contributed more than 85,700 hours to the continuation of their mission, an essential contribution that represents 47 full-time employees.
Last year, thanks to your generosity we donated $14,000 and collected more than 180 lbs. of non-perishable food which was used for Christmas gift baskets for the needy. Moisson Montréal’s multiplier effect turns a $1 donation into the equivalent of $15, meaning a $50 donation can feed 23 children for a full week.
How do I participate?
You will find dedicated boxes and donation banks in all of our sales offices (addresses are listed at the bottom of the page) as well as our head office. You can also donate online here. We’re counting on you to fill up those boxes until they burst! As we did last year, Prével is committed to doubling the amount collected!
There are two pairs of Montreal Canadiens hockey tickets to be won! We will draw one winner from among the people who donated at the sales office and a second from those who donated online. For non-perishable donations, simply fill out the participation coupon at the sales office and you’ll be entered in the draw.
The campaign goes from November 25th to December 16th.
